Doug was appointed as Executive Chair of Bob Evans Farms, Inc. in August 2015 to serve as the interim chief executive officer and then as an executive officer of the company upon the appointment of the new chief executive officer in January 2016. He has also been a member of the Bob Evans Farms board of directors since September 2014.
Among other senior leadership roles in his more than 25 years in the restaurant industry, Doug serves as president and chief executive officer of DNB Advisors, LLC, a restaurant industry consulting firm that he started in 2006. Prior to that, he was president and chief executive officer for Arby’s Restaurant Group, a chain of 3,500 restaurants, where he led the turnaround of the $3 billion quick-service concept, and was chief financial officer and a director of RTM Restaurant Group, Inc., the largest Arby’s franchisee.
He serves on the boards of several public companies, including Global Income Trust, Inc. and American Home 4 Rent. He has also served on the board of directors of several public restaurant companies, including O’Charley’s Inc., from 2008 until its sale in 2012, and Sonic Corporation from 2009 to 2014.
Doug is a certified public accountant and graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from the University of West Florida.
Mike Townsley was appointed president and chief executive officer of Bob Evans Farms, Inc. in May 2017. Mike Townsley joined Bob Evans Farms, Inc. as president and chief operating officer of Owens Foods, Inc. (formerly Owens Country Sausage) in June 2003. Mike was appointed president of BEF Foods, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Bob Evans Farms, Inc., in June 2008. He also served as co-chief executive officer from December 2014 to September 2015.
Mike holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Agriculture from The Ohio State University.
Mark joined Bob Evans Farms, Inc. as chief financial officer in June 2014. He also served as co-chief executive officer from December 2014 to September 2015. In September 2015 he was appointed to the additional position of chief administrative officer of Bob Evans Farms, Inc.
Before joining Bob Evans, Mark was an independent business consultant from 2012 to 2014, and served as senior vice president and chief financial officer at Caleres, Inc. (formerly Brown Shoe Company, Inc.), a $2.6 billion global footwear company, from 2006 to 2012.
He is a certified public accountant and holds a bachelor of science in accounting and economics from Iowa State University.
